The National Emergency Services Information System has released a report showing the national nonfatal opioid overdose rates from data collected between March 2022 and March 2023.

The jurisdictions with the highest rates of nonfatal opioid overdoses is as follows: 

  1. District of Columbia
  2. Connecticut
  3. New Hampshire
  4. Vermont
  5. Illinois
  6. Alabama
  7. New Mexico
  8. Kentucky
  9. Delaware
  10. Washington
