Orlando Health opens 144-bed behavioral health hospital

Orlando (Fla.) Health has opened a behavioral health hospital in Apopka, Fla., ABC affiliate WFTV reported May 17. 

The 144-bed facility is a Baker Act receiving hospital designed to provide behavioral health services for Central Florida residents, according to the system’s website. Operations began May 15.

The behavioral health hospital was opened to address limited mental health services in Orange County, according to the report.
