The National Alliance on Mental Illness has recognized Dartmouth Health psychiatrist Jeffrey C. Fetter, MD, as an NAMI Exemplary Psychiatrist, according to a June 29 news release shared with Becker's.
Dr. Fetter is chief medical officer at New Hampshire Hospital, which is contracted with Dartmouth Health to provide clinical staff. He is responsible for overseeing evidence-based, trauma-informed services for adults with complex mental health needs.
In his work with New Hampshire Hospital and Dartmouth Health, Dr. Fetter has led efforts to improve learning environments, expand research, and train future generations of the mental health workforce. He was one of only four Exemplary Psychiatrists named in 2023, according to the report.
